Digital Works

Digital disruption has long reached the Life Sciences industry and the pressure is on to employ digitalization to unlock future value. This event will uncover the future journey of Life Sciences enterprises shifting from digital ambition to action to create new value in the market.

PROGRAM

08:45 - 08:50 Welcome. (Henrik Brabrand, Albright Partners A/S)

08:50 - 09:15 Disruptive digital trends in the life sciences industry. (Sander Hemelsoet, MSD)

In this ever-changing world new technologies and techniques rapidly appear and sometimes it is hard to distinguish hypes from sustainable, valuable new tools. In this short session, Sander will highlight some remarkable trends in the life sciences industry.

How is video selling able to significantly increase engagement with health care professionals? Can chatbots really be a valuable resource for patients? What opportunities can artificial intelligence create in healthcare?

Sander Hemelsoet is a medical futurist and has held multiple (digital) marketing and sales roles in the life sciences industry

09:20 - 09:45 How digitalization can bring the Life Sciences industry closer to the HCP’s and patients. (Henrik Brabrand, Albright Partners A/S)

Doctors want a stronger collaboration with the Life Sciences industry with the objective of raising the quality of patient care and improving treatment outcomes. Digitalization will be key in meeting those needs of Doctors/HCP’s.

Patients still want direct contact with their caregivers, but they are also looking to other sources as they are demanding more involvement in treatment decisions and want to fully understand their condition and the long-term care plan. Digitization will also here be key in satisfying those needs of patients.

With digitization being a future business enabler in the Life Sciences industry, this presentation will seek to challenge the industry to reimagine themselves as digital enterprises—adaptive, collaborative organizations that can keep pace with changes in the healthcare marketplace.

Henrik Brabrand is a global leading expert within Life Sciences Executive Search and a former top management executive from the industry. Over the years, Henrik has helped Life Sciences clients across the globe to develop organizations capable of delivering on their strategies.

09:50 - 10:15 How to increase sales effectiveness and digitalization within Life Sciences. (Nicolai Hæggelin, Digital Works)

Social Networking is a digital way to strengthen relations to HCPs and Government by using LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional social media platform. The method is to connect, build trust, and enrich connections as a Visible Expert within the industry.

Using the Albright Life Science Report as foundation, three seperate executive roundtable events were created to bring Life Science executives together with the purpose of knowledge sharing and networking.

With more than 100 Danish Life Science Executives sharing their thoughts, insights and evaluations on industry trends, growth prospects , there were several highlights to facilitate plenty of discussion.

Here are a few key highlights:

  • 83% of executives from the Life Science industry in Denmark are either ”confident” or ”very confident” about their organisation’s prospects for revenue growth over the next three years BUT…

  • Where executives from Pharma/Biopharma/Biotech expects that the primary drivers of growth will be (1) Strategic alliances & partners (73%) and (2) Advanced analytics (62%), then the primary growth driver identified by executives from the Medtech/IVD industry is Digitization of products and/or services (83%).

EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAMS IN LIFE SCIENCES - A HEADHUNTER PERSPECTIVE

The ability to set, drive and develop effective leadership teams is directly correlated with the performance of a company and its organization.

At Albright A/S and over the past decade, we have studied organizational and leadership dynamics across the Life Science industry. One of our landmark findings has been, that the key to improving organizational performance and tying organizations together across functional pillars lies in the effectiveness of the incumbent leadership team. In fact, an effective leadership team is the prerequisite for ensuring an optimal and aligned implementation of decisions and strategies within an organization.

Speakers:

Henrik Brabrand, CEO, Albright A/S

Jesper Ek, Global Speaker, Fmr. Head of Sub Region Nordics, Roche

DIRECTOR CONTRACTS & EXECUTIVE ONBOARDING

Terms of notice, clauses and severance pay are all key elements within a director contract. Companies have an increasing tendency to protect themselves by including more clauses and slightly longer terms of notice.

The first part of the event focused on giving senior executives insights and tools to navigate current and future contracts.

Almost 40% of all senior executives will fail in their next leadership role. Executive on boarding is designed to accelerate the transition of executives into their new roles and to improve the foundation for their short-, medium- and long-term success. The second part of the event focused on helping senior executives dodge potential obstacles when taking on a new role.

Speakers:

Henrik Brabrand, CEO, Albright A/S

Jens Lund Mosbek, Partner, Kromann Reumert

BUSINESS MODELS OF THE FUTURE

The increasing amount of commercial challenges, such as new technologies, regulations and a different consumer behavior, have led to an immensely high pressure on traditional business models. With cases from both traditional and new industries, the event was designed to give senior executive audience tools and insights on how to adapt their business model in a swiftly and effectively manner.

Speakers:

Henrik Brabrand, CEO, Albright A/S

Morten Remmer, Chief Growth Officer, LEO Innovation Lab

Luisa Orre, CFO, Glue Home

Pilou Asbæk, Actor

CYBER SECURITY AT TOP-MANAGEMENT AND BOARD LEVEL

The numbers and size of cyber security attacks are increasing. The reasons are many and include a lack of direction and commitment to understanding information security at the strategic level. In fact, the executive knowledge and board-level governance of cyber risks is generally inadequate. The event was designed to give senior executive audience tools and insights on how to better protect their companies against cyber threats.

Speakers:

Henrik Brabrand, CEO, Albright A/S

Morten Kähler, Head of Information Security and Jakob Dreyer, CEO, CERTA Intelligence & Security
