JOB OPPORTUNITY
CHAIRWOMAN OF THE BOARD

BRIEF COMPANY PROFILE

The ability to impact the younger generation and students – already from primary school through to high school – is key to building a future pipeline of skilled STEM candidates (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) that will bridge the talent- and capability gaps threatening the Life Sciences industry. The “Inspire Them Young” initiative addresses this very issue by supporting initiatives that motivate and inspire younger generations to pursue academic tracks in line with the future capability needs within pharma, biotech, medtech and life sciences.

THE AMBITION OF THE "INSPIRE THEM YOUNG" INITIATIVE

The “Inspire them young” initiative includes the following three key activities:

1. Promoting investigation and inquiry-based science teaching in primary- and high schools

Inspired by the Nobel Prize winner Georges Charpak, the ”Inspire Them Young” initiative promotes investigation and inquiry-based science teaching in primary schools and in high schools. The approach will ensure improved student learning and motivation through increased student/teacher interaction and a unique combination of tactile and visualisation tools and processes.

2. Building a young female leadership program

With the ambition of contributing to the development of the next generation of outstanding female Life Science leaders, the "Inspire Them Young" Female Leadership Program was launched in 2017.

3. Building a bridge between academia and the Life Science industry

Supporting initiatives that create a bond between academia and the Life Science industry.

THE INSPIRE THEM YOUNG GRANT

Every year the “Inspire them young” initiative rewards with a grant of DKK 10.000:

1) A promising young female Life Science leadership talent, or

2) An institution promoting collaboration between academia and the Life Science industry, or
