Henrik Blou (HB) took over as Chief Executive Officer at Gubra on 1 June 2016 after holding the position of Chief Business Officer in the same company for seven months. The company, with its 150 employees, conducts contract research for some of the world's largest biotech and pharmaceutical companies and has been named a Gazelle company eight years in a row.

HB recently led Gubra to a successful IPO on Nasdaq Copenhagen.

The climate is a matter of heart for HB and Gubra. Under HB's management, the company has thus taken the lead by not only donating 10% of the company's profits to environmentally focused and green purposes, but the company also won in 2020 - under HB's management - EY's Sustainability Prize for the company's ability to clearly communicate its position within CSR, as well as active contributions to ensure a better climate.

HB is a talented leader who has managed to create a clear "why" for his organisation.

HB has been instrumental in developing and executing the company's strategy with a focus on increased commercialization, and has thus managed to create considerable growth for Gubra – resulting in 8 gazelle awards in a row.

HB is an advocate for sharing knowledge - i.a. he and the company's Imaging Team have developed a database (NeuroPedia) which is made freely available to researchers in academia and industry within virtual neuroscience/3D imaging (transgenic expression mapping).

HB has landed multi-billion dollar deals with pharmaceutical companies, including Bayer, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Ferring Pharmaceuticals and many more.
